Walter Johnson Promotions Presents Friday Night KO Fights March 9 At The Greensboro Coliseum Complex

Greensboro, NC (February 27) – Veteran North Carolina Promoter Walter Johnson presents an exciting night of live professional boxing Friday, March 9, 2018, with Friday Night KO Fights at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex.

This gripping and high energy event will be stacked with ten professional bouts loaded with dynamite.  Scheduled to compete are DJ Haynesworth, Maynard Allison, JerMarcus Polain, Omar Ethridge, EJ Hood, and Jermain Corley.

Haynesworth 13-2-1 (11 KO’s), of Greensboro, NC, looks to bounce back from a tough loss at Madison Square Garden in New York last December to Heavyweight contender Bryant Jennings.  Prior to his disappointment in December, Haynesworth had run off an undefeated record of 11-0-1 (9 KO’s) to put himself into contention for a run at a world championship.  He will be looking to bounce back and electrify his hometown with a big KO win.

Allison 9-3 (6 KO’s) is looking for his tenth professional win.  After a blazing professional start, Allison has fought two of the toughest lightweights from Philadelphia in Juan Rodriguez and Sam Teah in their hometowns and has come up short in both fights.  Allison returns to North Carolina looking for that elusive tenth win and first win in three fights.  Allison promises any fan coming to see him fight at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, “They will get a performance from him they have never seen before and will never forget.”

Polain 10-0 (9 KO’s) a 6’4″ Heavyweight from Atlanta, Georgia looks to add one more notch in hos KO belt.

Ethridge 2-1-1 (2 KO’s) is an exciting lightweight with power and a hometown favorite looking to run his winning and KO streak to three.

Hood 2-0 (2 KO’s), the son of the legendary female fighter Carlette “The Truth” Ewell, is the local Cruiserweight with power in both hands.  The Winston-Salem native wants to extend his win and KO streak to three and give the fans a reason to jump out of their seat.

Despite Corley’s record 1-6 (1 KO), the Concord, NC native is a crowd pleaser and has the chance to have the first winning streak of his professional career.  Corley has been in the ring with some of the best fighters in the Super Middleweight division including super hot Philadelphia prospect Brandon “B-Rob” Robinson.   A win on March 9th will give Corley two in a row.

Tickets to Walter Johnson Promotions’ Friday Night KO Fights at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex are still available and can be purchased at the Coliseum Box Office or at the Lindley Boxing Center 2907 Springwood Dr, Greensboro, NC 27403.  You can also call 336 617 1900 for Tickets or more info.
