North Carolina’s KO King Blake Mansfield Lives Up To His Billing Stopping Darryl Bunting In Five

North Carolina’s “KO King” Blake Mansfield Stops Darryl Bunting In 5th Round Of Scheduled 6 Round Bout

Bethlehem, PA (February 15, 2018) – Blake Mansfield is on a seek and destroy mission and is hell bent on making 2018 his year.  Mansfield, from North Carolina, kicked off his 2018 boxing season by living up to his “KO King” nickname and stopping Darryl Bunting in the fifth round of their scheduled six round bout at the Sands Bethlehem Events Center in Bethlehem, PA.

Mansfield and Bunting entertained the excited crowd as the two exchanged good shot after good shot on each other.  Mansfield was landing the more significant blows and in the second round he landed a clean punch which cut Bunting over his right eye.

Mansfield and Bunting kept up a furious pace.  Mansfield, who lost his mouthpiece several times, was deducted one point in the fourth round for having his mouthpiece come out several times.

Mansfield made sure the point deduction would not play a factor when he landed a hard combination that forced Bunting to the ropes.   After landing several unanswered hard shots on Bunting, the referee stepped in to stop the fight at 36 seconds of round five.

Mansfield, of Burington, NC improved his record to 6-1-1 (5 KO’s), while Bunting, of Asbury Park, NJ, falls to 3-3-2 (1 KO) and has lost two in a row.
