Illness Postpones Austin Bryant’s Las Vegas Debut

Wilson, NC (September 27) – Undefeated, rising cruiserweight, superstar and boxing phenom, Austin Bryant’s Las Vegas debut has been postponed because of illness.

Bryant 2-0 (2 KO’s) was scheduled to be in the ring for the first time since his July 23 stoppage of previously unbeaten Zed Mitchell 8-1 (8 KO’s).

However, according to Team Bryant’s spokesperson, Bryant came down with flu like symptoms and ultimately what they thought was pneumonia.  “Over the past 10-12 days, he made multiple trips to the emergency room and urgent care, where he was prescribed antibiotics and steroids to relieve the illness.  Unfortunately, he was unable to eat, and his breathing was very labored.”

Bryant’s mom finally took him to their family doctor Jonathon G. Dewald, MD, who diagnosed Bryant with inflammation and an acute respiratory infection that will likely keep him sidelined for the next 6-8 weeks before he can attempt to get into fighting shape.

Bryant, who is 19 years old, is a first class athlete with a championship drive, so he should bounce back and return to the ring better than ever.
