David “GOD’s Warrior” Griffith Looks To Shine His Light September 29th In Charlotte, North Carolina

Undefeated Knockout Artist David Griffith Battles For The WBL Super-Middleweight Title September 29th On The Vegas Grand Boxing Promotions’ Card At The Extravaganza In Charlotte, North Carolina

Saint Albans, West Virginia (September 2018) – David Griffith is a Christian and loves GOD.  Griffith believes GOD has given every individual a talent to shine GOD’s light.  David “GOD’s Warrior” Griffith’s talent is boxing, and he wants to shine his light in the ring September 29, 2018, at the Extravaganza Events center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Griffith 5-0 (5 KO’s) got a late start on his boxing career.  After playing basketball at David & Elkins College in Elkins, WV and transferring to Marshall University, where he finished his academics and earned undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology, Griffith needed a way to scratch his competitive itch, “After I wrapped up my college basketball career, I got the itch to do something competitive.  I have always been interested in boxing, so I turned to the sport of boxing.  I actually had my guts stomped out in my first amateur fight.  I pretty much gave it up, but five or six months later I got the itch again and had a pretty successful amateur career,” says the humble Griffith.

Griffith, a West Virginia Police Officer, was known as a heavy-handed amateur fighter.  After putting in time and learning how to box, the six-foot-three-inch right-hander made his professional boxing debut as a Super Middleweight (168 lbs) in June of 2016.  His debut was a smashing success.  Griffith scored a first round KO.  Griffith didn’t feel comfortable with his power at the lower weight, so he decided to move up to Cruiserweight.  At Cruiserweight, Griffith continued his KO success, and in his fourth professional fight, Griffith won the WBF and WBL Cruiserweight titles by knocking out his opponent in the first round at the Division Armory in Indianapolis, Indiana.  In May, Griffith won his Cruiserweight fight by first-round KO at the Gala By JW in Columbia, South Carolina, but he wasn’t completely satisfied with his performance.  “I felt like I lost too much quickness, so I  am settling around light heavyweight.  It is a good mix for me.  I am most comfortable there with my power and quickness,” said Griffith.

On Saturday, September 29, 2018, Griffith will be fighting for the WBL Super-Middleweight title in Charlotte, NC.  Charlotte is a city he loves, and Griffith is extremely excited to shine his light and show off his boxing talents.

As he trains hard at Action Sports Complex in St Albans, WV, to get ready for his WBL title fight, David “GOD’s Warrior leaves us with these lasting words for September 29th, “Boxing is my way to shine my light for him (GOD).  There are going to be fireworks.  I can promise you that!”
