Raleigh, NC ( April 24) – Undefeated, Siler City boxing sensation, Maynard Allison, returns to the ring May 14 at Dorton Arena in Raleigh, NC to face the elusive Charles Witt.
Whitt 0-1 is anxiously looking for his first professional win, and
is cherishing the opportunity to get it against the highly regarded Allison.
Newly signed to Greg Cohen Promotions, Maynard Allison 4-0 (3 KO’s) understands it may be a long time before fans will see him live in North Carolina, so he is looking to put on a show. “It’s time for the world to see me shine. I want to make my NC fans happy and give them a memory of a lifetime. I am going to put on a show they will never forget. When they see me on TV, they will say, I remember that night in North Carolina when he KO’d such an such… My fans have supported me so much. They deserve to see me do something special, so that’s what I’m going to give them. Once I get that title though, NC will be the place to be!”
After an impressive amateur career, where he won 44 bouts, became a 2x Golden Gloves Champion, won a North Carolina state title, won regionals in North Carolina, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, won a total of 8 belts, and was all conference in three high school sports, Maynard turned professional in 2015.
Maynard Allison is managed by Anthony Brown of “Bare Knuckles Entertainment” and coached by Keedar Massey of “Inner City Boxing Gym” in Durham, NC. Since joining forces with the powerful Greg Cohen Promotions (GCP), Team Allison continues to set a course for an extremely productive and very busy 2016.
Dorton Arena is a 7,610-seat multi-purpose arena located on the North Carolina State Fairgrounds at 1025 Blue Ridge Rd in Raleigh, North Carolina. It opened in 1952.
